Launching a business brings a true mixture of emotions, that arise in you once you are in the final lap of getting everything off the ground. Especially the day before you launch your company, you tend to get into your feelings. Then after you land that first sale and see everything is right, you think I have launched my business now what happens. Well, you know have a legit business especially if you followed the insight in Kick Start Your eCommerce and Launch Week ebooks.
How many times have you stated, “I don’t have enough time to run my business?” or “The days are blurring together and I’m not getting anything done”. This is a reoccurrence with small business owners who first launch their companies. Time management is huge when launching, especially, if you are still working a 9 to 5, have a family, and a million other priorities that are vying for your attention.
One of my main goals to accomplish with each client that signs with ICB Consults is to land them sales on first day! The psychology behind this is, if you acquire sales on the first day of business you are more inclined to believe you can do this. If you don’t land sales within the first 72 hours of business, your confidence starts to die and you start second guessing if can you really do this.
Yesterday it was announced that L’Oreal USA acquired Carol’s Daughter! When I first heard the news I was beyond excited. Literally screamed in the car.

What’s your biggest accomplishment? My biggest accomplishment is that I let God to lead me as an entrepreneur. He is my primary consultant with most of my day-to-day decision-making, and it brings me peace of mind. I try to conduct business using the Jesus model: leadership through love, humility, patience, compassion, and servitude. As Christians in the industry, we want to be a light to the world and the salt of the earth because that is what God has called us to do. If we allow Christ to live through us, and it shows that you can love everybody and anybody. It doesn’t mean that you agree with what they do, you can still love them.

Wow, I really don’t know what to say. When I had the vision to start IC 4 years ago, I didn’t know it would grow into what it is today. Initially, I wasn’t following in a real direction or path (to be completely honest), Imperfect Concepts was a fly by night, learn as I go in the first year of business. I was a fish out of water, but now I feel a lot better about my presence in the business world.
Everyone has their own definition of success and hold different goals about what they want to achieve in life, and today, I have reached several different levels of success. There are many more goals in progress, however, and right now, I am focusing on getting Shop ICB to the $250,000 sales mark and becoming a national brand. I am ready to accept the changes that will inevitably come with these goals because change has been a beautiful thing and opened many doors for me. But wait, there’s more!
I am currently planning a move to a new city that has a spacious beautiful loft calling my name. I will talk “the move” later on. Secretly, I have a serious obsession with interior design. I personally believe fashion and interior design go hand and hand. The key to both are to find pieces that inspire and make you giddy.

As we welcome a new year, we must set our intentions now and stick with them. I have never been one to make New Year’s resolutions. I either forget or I don’t commit to them. What I am good at is making a to-do list and scratching things off that I have completed. Some consider a to-do list and a resolution list the same thing, but I don’t. Resolutions are something you want to change in order to make things right. I am living my best life each day and my “Goal To-Do List” is a list that keeps me on that track. I want to share some of my goals with you!
This is a shortened, complied list of my personal and business goals of 2013. Each list has roughly 15-18 goals I want to achieve this year. Last year the list had 22 goals and I achieved 17 of the 22. It makes me feel very accomplished to see I achieved so many. I wanted to share my list to help inspire others to write their goals down and reach for their dreams.
