My dear friend Katrice posted about Love Obsessed on Etsy, and I immediately went to the site. *OMFG* is the only thing I can think. Her pieces are AMAZING. Truly. Utterly. Amazing. I want everything! So, if you are looking to buy me a gift for whatever reason, I will take anything from her site.
Etsy has become a slight obsession of mine. I spend countless hours on their window shopping and buying things from small business owners. You can virtually buy anything you need on Etsy. Etsy just announced partnership with Nordstrom to go along with the Etsy Wholesale divison (Awesome!). I love that small business owners are getting the chance to grow their business more while continuing to reach a bigger audience. Some Etsy business owners are also in West Elm, which goes to show that dreams do come true. Woohooo!!! Today I wanted to showcase some of my favorite vendors from the site with you:
I have said it over and over that my goal this year is to lend more support to small businesses. You might be tried of hearing about it, but there might be someone who is just as excited as I am–someone who wants to support more small businesses too. I actually made a “Small Business Buy” List. It helps me keep track of brands and companies that I want to support. Here are some of the businesses I supported this month: Continue Reading →
Last week, I was having a conversation with my best friend about how great it was to be a kid, especially during the holidays. We reminisced about the fun of getting Valentine’s Day cards and the candy when you went to school. Everyone received something. Now as an adult with no boyfriend, I still want to feel special and my friends do too. I remember Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere made cards last year, and that’s where my crafty inspiration came from. Continue Reading →
I have never really been a “jewelry girl.” I tend to stick to my Tiffany’s studs & cross necklace, but I have caught the statement necklace bug. Slowly, I am learning from my best friend Rocquelle (a jewelry maven) how to wear these gorgeous pieces. I want to share several necklaces I am currently lusting after with you. Let’s see if you are as awe-struck as I am.
Happy Holidays! We at Imperfect Concepts would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Hope Santa brings you all the Jimmy Choo’s, iPad mini’s and Chanel nail polish you could ask for.
It’s that time of year again–when it’s better to receive than give. I love to plot my friend’s gifts throughout the year. I try to remember all the things they say, the little hints they drop, so I can surprise them later. It’s a way to show them I care and listen. This year, I wanted to go a slightly different route, and shop at small businesses for the holidays. Personally, I have been told I am a very hard person to shop for ( usually I just ask for Barney’s gift cards…Hey, I’m a gift card lover), so I thought I would put together a little wish list. My wishes may come true, but until then, a girl can dream.

Raise your hand if you thought you became Martha Stewart after joining Pinterest. *Raises hand* I have always loved being creative and crafty, but my level of DIY went to new heights when I was introduced to Pinterest. My favorite things to make are candles, body scrubs, bracelets and anything that requires glitter. For my friends birthdays, they request body scrub, and I thought I would share the process of making Brown Sugar Vanilla Body Scrub. I’m also going to share one of my favorite DIYs, a Glitter Box. I am a newcomer to the Etsy world. My best fried Roquelle is always telling my about her great finds on their site. I made my first purchase a while back, and I have been hooked ever since. One of the great things about Etsy is that you can shop at small businesses all year round. A small business is getting your support and you’re getting an item you couldn’t find locally. Here are some of my fave shops on Etsy. Continue Reading →
