Last month, one of my social media friends was on Instagram stories asking how does she find her stride in business to ensure she is on the right track. Funny thing, when I was listening to her share her thoughts regarding business I knew others had this question too. Too many times, people will seek out advice of consultant or coach and they give them a recycled business model on how to do things. I don’t believe in that. Even if your industry was invited when Jesus was born you can always add to the wheel house.
People ask me often how I can do so much in such a short period of time. Truth be told my schedule is not as hectic as creative business owners because I am not a fan of celebrating faux busy or anything of that other mess to be truthful. Outside of that the reason I can achieve so many of my goals is that my mind frame and this breakdown I created. In recent months, I have given my one on one clients the breakdown too, and it changes everything.

In the last months, there were times I felt like I was going with the flow and not achieving new heights for my business. Just flowing the of the current verse challenging myself. Then in earlier August, I felt a shift to move forward and get out of my comfort zone. After, I did this I invited a couple of my clients to do the same. In the last month, or so I have watched three of my clients D’Cher of Love Peridot, Naisha of Brownstone Closets and Brittney of Oh Honey Skincare go from busy to productive. Here are the insight and tips I provided them.
We all have dreams, visions and goals in life to achieve the most amazing things. Wanting to change the world through entrepreneurship, designing amazing website, creating products people love and much more. However, so many times we just sit on those dreams and goals not making the next move. Most times, we make our steps too large. Yes, I said your steps are too large because you’re afraid to take them. It’s important to design collective next steps for your goals so it makes it easier to walk into. You don’t have to leap or jump into your goals, you can simply put one foot in front of the next when they are design right.
Do you feel a sense of urgency soon as you wake up each more? Are you reaching your goals or are you struggling just to keep up. Trust, me when I say there use to be a time in my life when panic would set in, imposer syndrome felt real and much more. I truly wanted to achieve my daily, weekly and monthly goals, but I kept missing the mark each and every time. It can be frustrating and make you feel as you’re not meeting the marks that society has set up for you. Recently, I’ve noticed more people are holding off on their dreams or they’re putting them on the back burner. They will say it’s their dream to bring in $50,000 a year with their business or that they want to be able to pay themselves $2,000 a month. The most commonly used phrase regarding dreams is that “I want to quit my job to pursue my dreams but I can’t afford to do so”.
“New Year, New You” is one of the most popular saying the first few weeks of a new calendar year. Heck, we all want to live a better life. The only issue with wanting a new life is most individuals do not want to commit to the plans that are tied to ensuring the success of their new lifestyle change.
Revenue, sales, bottom line…that’s all that small business owners can think of. It can be very frustrating at times to see others making money, their social media presences growing and succeeding. It makes you second guess whether you entered the right market, is your product right, can you really succeed amongst the top dogs. You can! Here are five ways to increase your sales within the next 90 days, if done consistently.
Results happen when you stop making priorities an option. If your business is important to you, you will make it a priority, not an option. Investing in your small business is extremely important if you want it to grow. Just wishing and hoping will not create the results you want you have to put in the effort. You need to make daily goals and on top of making them you need to strive towards completing them.
