Crazy to think…I remember when I received an invitation to be a beta tester for this site called Pinterest. It truly came at the perfect time. I was over Tumblr and really wanted a platform that directed me to the source of the image. Pinterest solved that problem. They have grown into a global phenomena. If you ever get a chance, read Ben the founder story.
In our social media series thus far we have discussed determining which social media platform is best for your small business, how to create and design a Facebook fan page, and today we are discussing the wonderful world of Pinterest. I remember getting the invitation to beta test Pinterest a couple of years ago and I immediately fell in love with the platform. At the time a plethora of people and some still are very much in love with Tumblr. Tumblr lacked in several areas, primarily, giving people credit for the image. Pinterest virtually solved this problem, even though, there are still dead-end pins sometimes.
So recently our Pinterest got a little makeover…ok, so a major makeover. Our Pinterest Pinboard cover got a bright new makeover, and I’ll be sharing that with you today because several of our followers were commenting on our page and photos asking how we did it. First, I want to point out that the inspiration came from Bauble Bar’s Pinterest board. One of our fellow Pinners shared Stripes & Sequins link with notes on how to do revamp. Grace is the social media manager for Bauble Bar, and our graphic designer Mary followed Grace’s footsteps to create the final product.
