IC is not at the six figure business level just yet, but that doesn’t stop me from building the brand of my dreams. Seriously, I spend 15 to 30 minutes a day envisioning the store’s growth. It’s a really great thing for me to do. I am thankful for every moment that happens in ICB World. I think it’s fun that no two days are alike. The main reason for this post is to let you know that you don’t need thousands, hundreds or even one dollar in your account to live your dreams. But wait, there’s more!
Let’s be honest, nobody likes bad customer service. The receiving end of horrible service from a business is probably one of the most uncomfortable experiences someone can go through. One thing I have noticed with the surge of “Instagram Boutiques” and people starting a business without researching is their lack of customer service skills. It really saddens me because I am a small business owner, and I know how someone’s first experience with a store can effect their view of me. But wait, there’s more!

What’s your biggest accomplishment?
On the surface, I want to give a standard answer like graduating from college or some other great feat. However, to be as transparent as possible, my greatest accomplishment in life has been something much more un-documented. My greatest accomplishment has been realizing what is and is not important in life. That alone has brought me the greatest rewards a girl could ever ask for! Shout out to JESUS!
Last week, I had the pleasure of hearing Chris Guillebeau speak at El Centro on his book The $100 Start Up tour. For the last year or so, I kept hearing about Chris’s book. I saw many women’s groups hosting twitter chats, and many write-ups in magazines. Up until one of my good twitter friends tweeted a link to his book tour, I didn’t truly decide to give this book a chance. After his post, I knew I needed to meet the man that is causing all this commotion in the entrepreneur world. But, how could I meet him if I hadnt read his book? I got on Amazon, and ordered it with several other books (which tends to happen when I set out to buy just ONE book on Amazon). This book is going down as one of my favorites of 2013. It’s just like Chasing Cool, Rubies In The Orchard + Crush It were for me last year (my top 3 books of 2012). They are all chalked full of great information!
